MY RETURN - TO BOLDLY GO!

After nearly four months absence I have finally returned to the gaming table. This week's game was a Star Trek themed Federation of Planets (UFP) pair of Constitution Class Cruisers Vs three Klingon Empire D7s. The Federation was protecting an UFP freighter that's warp engines had gone down, while the Klingon's are attempting their own rescue of a sorts. The UFP referring to this as Privateering. The UFP goals are to drive off or destroy the D7s until the freighter can complete its repairs. The Klingons goal is to drive off or destroy the UFP Cruisers and assist the freighter to Klingon territory. Any warship destroyed will be replaced in one or two turns after its loss.
UFP Cruiser (lower) and Klingon D7 (Upper) on Parallel Course Heading Towards the Stricken Freighter. The Orange Markers are Klingon Drones Moving to Attack the UFP Vessel. This Just After a Head on Attack That Saw the Klingon Come Off the Worse with its Forward Shield Down and About 20% Internal Damage, Compared to the UFP Having Lost its Forward Shield but Taking only a Single Internal Hit.

The Two UFP Cruisers Circling Close to the Disabled Freighter. The Klingon D7 Have now Positioned Themselves to Board the Freighters, Whose Forward and Right-side Shields are now Down.
Things were not looking good for the UFP. They have already lost one Cruiser destroyed, the second seriously damaged and the replacement having failed shields on the left and right and some minor internal damage as well. The Klingons have sent a small Marine contingent aboard the Freighter to "asssist" with their repairs. All three of the D7s have shields down, and two are seriously damaged.
While all the Cruisers continued to slug it out it looked rather certain that the Freighter was going to be visiting Klingon territory in its near future.
